Provence foto today
Provence is enticing. The scenery is gentle, the people are rural and speak with wonderfully strong accents. The food is some of the best in France and altogether, it’s refreshingly Gallic without the sometimes pretentious attitude of more northerly neighbours.
The other thing is that no matter where you go, you’ll find ancient Roman, medieval and Renaissance structures. The whole of Provence is an on-going, dynamic history lesson. And the flowers… in typically Gallic fashion, they colour everything, hanging from baskets, boxes, windowsills, along the edges of busy roads, decorating trees.
